Our Mission: The ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy exists to educate the public about rodeo, its history, and its impact on Western American culture. In celebration of the Year of the Horse, the ProRodeo Hall of Fame honors bucking horse, High Tide. A direct descendant of Man O' War, High Tide was selected to appear at the National Finals Rodeo an astounding 21 times. High Tide was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1993.

In celebration of the Year of the Horse, the ProRodeo Hall of Fame honors bucking horse, Hell’s Angel. Inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1979, Hell’s Angel usually left the chute with a high wrenching kick that gained impetus from kicking the back of the chute. The 1,300-pound Percheron Pinto is the horse Gene Pruett described as the “greatest bucking horse of all time.”

In honor of the Year of the Horse, we celebrate tie-down horse, "Poker Chip Peake." Inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1979, "Poker Chip Peake" had it all, perfect conformation and great “cow sense,” stopping and working a rope with consistency each run. He was every roper's dream.

The ProRodeo Hall of Fame celebrates the life and rodeo career of All-Around cowboy, Phil Lyne. Inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1979, Phil Lyne was one of the few contestants to excel in every rodeo event, winning a combined five world titles in three different events. He retired from professional rodeo in 1972, only to return in 1990 to claim one final world championship in steer roping. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the rodeo community.
