Welcome Guest Artist Elizabeth Sage!

Rooted in the traditions of the American West, Elizabeth Sage brings the spirit of ranch life, the beauty of the horse, and the enduring legacy of the cowboy to life on canvas.

Raised on a working ranch in Northern California, Sage developed a deep connection to Western life from an early age. By just 14, she was creating commissioned oil paintings, setting the stage for a lifelong passion that would eventually lead her from a 20-year career as a corporate senior designer to becoming a full-time professional artist.

Her paintings celebrate the rugged beauty of the West, drawing inspiration from old Americana, Buckaroo, Californio, and traditional Western styles. Through expressive brushwork, intricate detail, and dramatic contrasts of light and shadow, Sage captures the grit, heritage, and quiet moments that define ranch life.

But her work is about more than telling a story. Each painting invites the viewer to discover their own connection, creating a personal experience shaped by memory, imagination, and a shared appreciation for the Western spirit.

We invite you to discover the work of Elizabeth Sage, our guest artist at Broadmoor Galleries, and experience the artistry and storytelling that make her paintings so compelling.

Angie Haskell’s newest piece brings her signature modernist energy to a classic Western figure — Hank, rendered in bold geometry, vibrant color, and that unmistakable Midmod West rhythm. Her stylized approach transforms a familiar cowboy presence into a fresh, contemporary icon that feels both nostalgic and forward‑looking.
