The Broadmoor Art Experience is almost here, and the energy in the gallery is building — fast. July is right around the corner, and with it comes a month of live painting, sculpture demos, and more than 20 artists creating on-site every weekend.

The Broadmoor Galleries Art Academy is returning, and this October's featured instructor is nationally acclaimed landscape painter Dave Santillanes — an artist whose mastery of atmosphere, light, and simplification has made him one of the most respected painters working today!

Dave’s work has earned top honors in major national exhibitions, including the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, and the Laguna Plein Air Invitational and a member of the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America. His paintings are celebrated for their ability to distill complex landscapes into elegant, harmonious compositions — a skill he teaches with clarity, intention, and generosity.

During this multi‑day immersive workshop at The Broadmoor, artists will learn Dave’s approach to value structure, color relationships, atmospheric perspective, and the art of painting with purpose. With hands‑on guidance, live demos, and personalized feedback, participants will gain tools they can carry into every future painting.

Set against the stunning backdrop of The Broadmoor, the Art Academy blends education, inspiration, and community — a rare chance to study with a master in an environment designed to spark creativity.
