Lazy Cat Art Studio

Lazy Cat Art Studio The Lazy Cat Art Studio features the works of Diane Ewing, a well known artist of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Diane passed away on September 27, 2016.

About the Artist: Diane's art interests began in high school. As a native of Colorado, she was constantly surrounded by the beauty of the Centennial State. She began to attempt to capture this beauty through her artwork. Her goal was to capture the beauty in the most realistic way she could, whether it was animals, landscapes, or people. A self taught artist, she began to oil paint in 1972. Throu

gh the years, this is the medium in which she created some of her most exquisite works.. Many of these works were selected to exhibit at the Colorado Springs Art Guild's National Juried Show and the Colorado State Fair, winning many awards. Many of these works now grace numerous private collections. During this time, she also developed her skills with other mediums such as colored pencil, pencil, acrylic, and watercolors. Over the last few years of her art career, she focused primarily on watercolors. Her greatest joy became painting these watercolors, and giving them to friends and family. There is a term called "Starving Artist", and it is very true for many artists such as Diane. As tough as things were for Diane the last 10 years, she never lost sight that other people, and animals, had it much worse than she did. That is why a percentage of the gross profit from any piece the Lazy Cat Art Studio sells will be donated to charity. She is loved and missed by all her friends and family.
