Artifact in Action: Los Angeles, 1984. Karch Kiraly helped Team USA men’s volleyball win gold on home soil.

Los Angeles, 2028. He’s back, this time as head coach of the U.S. men’s national team. 🏐

In between, he added gold in 1988, beach volleyball gold in 1996, and gold as the head coach of the U.S. women’s team in Tokyo. Few Olympic stories come this full circle.

Artifact in Action: When life threw a curveball at pro snocross racer Mike Schultz, he didn’t just adapt, he engineered his own comeback.

After losing his left leg in a 2008 accident, “Monster Mike” built his own high-performance prosthetic knee. His company, BioDapt, now powers wounded soldiers and action sports athletes worldwide, including over 30 of his own rivals at the 2018 Paralympics!

From a career-ending crash to gold and silver Paralympic medals, Mike proved that true champions don’t just win; they lift everyone else up with them.
