Hello everyone, it's been a while.

We'd like to announce that some of the ceramics that Barney made over his lifetime, ones that were hidden behind the Toilet Seats, are being sold at our little section in Homestead Handcrafts.

If interested, please stop by and have a look; we will be putting out more items as they sell.

For those of you wondering about the status of the next garage sale; that is still on an indefinite hold for now.

Homestead Handcrafts is located on 21518 Blanco Rd, in San Antonio, TX 78260

Edit, Dec 12 2020: Further sales postponed until further notice.

Edit: Packing up for today. Next sale will be in November.

We're a little late posting this online. This will be the first of many Garage Sales.

Disclaimer: These are items Barney collected over the years; none of his Toilet Seat artwork is present.

We have old tools (metal etc), old plumbing items, appliances. Lots of ceramics that he made during his active years teaching a class at his local church. All kinds of little trinkets etc.

All are welcome, please be courteous and wear a face covering.

Well into his 90s, a retired plumber-turned-artist filled his garage-museum with 1,400+ fanciful toilet lid artworks. The late Barney Smith's collection is displayed in the main building of a food truck beer garden.

This was my Grandfather's favorite poem. It was given to him to recite as a child, and he never forgot it, and he would tell it to people that got the chance to visit his museum when it was still in San Antonio.

Yesterday he passed on from this world. He will be missed.
