During National Safety Month, we recognize the teams across our quarries, fabrication facilities, and project sites who make safety a daily priority. Through training, teamwork, and a strong safety culture, our goal is simple: making sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.

Across Coldspring, our teams continue working toward that goal by improving emergency response plans, strengthening driver safety awareness, enhancing data and analytics to better identify risks, and encouraging “Good Catch” reporting so hazards can be addressed before incidents occur.

Mount Rushmore is more than a national icon, it is a showcase of craftsmanship and enduring materials. When the visitor welcome center was renovated during the 1980s, Rockville® Beige granite was used for plaza paving, the Avenue of Flags columns, and the exterior of the Visitor’s and Interpretive Center. Innovation in action! Our new polish machine takes stone polishing to the next level. It can handle stone up to 11 ¾ inches thick, far surpassing our older 8-inch limit, and works six times faster, polishing 3 feet per minute with remarkable precision. That means more stone polished in less time, with fewer errors, and consistent high quality on every piece.

This machine represents a major step forward in efficiency and performance for our production plant. By combining speed, accuracy, and advanced technology, we can meet growing demands while maintaining the exceptional standards our customers expect.
