Before Santa delivers toys and gifts, he’s been breaking away to catch some waves in Cocoa Beach on Christmas Eve morning. The Surfing Santas event is an annual Cocoa Beach tradition that brings hundreds of surfers dressed up as Santa. They’ll ride in on the waves and walk among us barefoot in the sand. Surfing Santas started on Christmas Eve 2009 when founder George Trosset put on a Santa suit an

d decided to catch some waves. He had such a great time that the next year he invited some friends to join him and that is how the event has grown over the years.

Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach has donated $10,000 to Grind For Life , a charity run by Mike Rogers . The mission of the Grind For Life organization " is to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families when traveling long distances to doctors and hospitals. In addition, we educate and inspire these patients and families concerning cancer survival and recovery with Mike Rogers’s Story. Mike is a two-time sarcoma cancer survivor. Those who qualify may request assistance for travel and lodging expenses, meals, and personal needs. "
we are proud to say that this is the 15th year we have sponsored this worthy charity.

BIG NEWS! Space Coast Boardriders Club (Indian Harbour Beach) earned a spot at the World Club Championship at Snapper Rocks, Gold Coast — Feb 13–15, 2026!
