It's been a busy week at our museum! Guests from Mississippi, Michigan, New York, Lehigh Valley, Pittsburgh and local communities have stopped by to see our displays, research ancestry and purchase souvenirs! The beautiful fall colors assisted in making the journey to Coalport a treasure!

Thanks to our many volunteers who have worked diligently to provide tours, assist with family and community research, install the new display signage and help in all ways. We welcome all to join our team as we celebrate the history of the region.

Visit our museum Sunday and Thursday from 1 PM to 5 PM. There is never an admission fee -- donations are always appreciated.

Saint Mary's Annunciation Ukranian Catholic Church in the town of Ramey, Clearfield County in 1893. This Parish was composed of immigrants from Halychyna and the Carpathian Mountains and served people in the following Clearfield County Pennsylvania communities: Ramey, Madera, Beccaria, Smoke Run, Smithmill, Houtzdale, Osceola, Belescena, McCartny, Irvona, Parsonville, Brisbin, Atlantic and Olanta. At one point, it had a membership of 500-600 families. In time, other churches, both Catholic and Orthodox, were established.
