Red Mill Museum Village Our museum and grounds are currently closed while we build the Haunted Red Mill. Our shop remains open weekends, 11-5.

For more information on volunteering, sponsorships or tickets, please visit https://www.theredmill.org/haunted-red-mill. The Red Mill Museum Village is the setting for over 200 years of history. Within the walls of a dozen buildings, contained in the wood and cloth of 40,000 objects are the stories of the growth of a community. The museum offers changing exhibits, lectures, concerts and special events that provide visitors with an ongoing conversation with the past.

Mill to Mill Textile Fellowship - Thursday nights AND Friday afternoons. Currently meeting at the Hunterdon Art Museum .

Bring a project, pull up a chair, and create in community.

The Mill to Mill Textile Fellowship is a welcoming community of makers who gather each week to work alongside one another, share skills, learn, and enjoy the rich traditions and contemporary expressions of textile work.

Bring whatever textile craft you are working on. Or come without a project and explore something new using tools and materials we have available. All experience levels are welcome. Fellowship is about learning from one another, sharing what we know, trying new things, and spending time with others who enjoy working with their hands.

WHEN WE MEET
Thursdays | 6–8 PM
Fridays | 1–3 PM

Come to either gathering—or both—as your schedule allows. Just bring your project—or your curiosity—and join us.

A century-old Halloween

Dressed as a fairy princess with a starry crown and wand, this young girl is believed to be Pauline Probasco (1903–1997) of Clinton, NJ. The daughter of Florence Hoyt and John C. Probasco, Pauline would later marry Raymond D. Robinson—but here she is captured at the turn of the century, ready for a little Halloween magic.

Many of these glass plate negatives were donated by Harold Van Natta of Clinton. This image was taken by local photographer Dr. Beldon D. Howell, whose camera preserved countless moments of Clinton’s history.

More than 100 years later, her whimsical costume reminds us that Clinton’s children have long been conjuring up Halloween enchantment.

🌿 Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Today, we pay tribute to the Lenape (Lenni-Lenape or Delaware) people, the original stewards of Lenapehoking, encompassing present-day New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, lower New York and Delaware. We recognize and honor the Turtle Clan (Pùkuwànku), one of the three primary matrilineal clans of the Lenape, traditionally associated with the Unami linguistic and territorial group.

As a museum, we honor Indigenous heritage, celebrate living cultures and reaffirm our commitment to education, respect and understanding.
