The Clifton Arts Center Gallery and Studio are housed in two renovated barns of the former U.S. The Clifton Arts Center is a municipally operated facility.

Animal Quarantine Station, now the grounds of Clifton Municipal Complex. The brick barns were built in the early twentieth century and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They have been joined together by a modern, airy atrium to create a unique venue for the exhibition of the visual arts. The Clifton Municipal Complex is already host to a sculpture garden containing the works

of more than 30 contemporary sculptures, and the opening of the Arts Center in January 2000 has given the City of Clifton the distinction of being one of the most arts-friendly municipalities in the Northeast. The Clifton Arts Center is located in the 26-acre Clifton Municipal Complex, Clifton Avenue and Van Houten Avenue. On entering the complex, go to Well Road and go up the hill; the Arts Center is located next to the Artesian well. The Clifton Arts Center and Sculpture Park in association with the City of Clifton Public Library seeks to preserve, enhance, interpret, and extend the reach of its programs for the benefit and well-being of citizens. A $3 admission entrance fee is required to view the exhibits for non-members. Please Note: The Arts Center is closed to the public on Legal Holidays and/or when the exhibits are being installed.

We are excited to announce a new art exhibition by the Clifton Quilters Guild: “Celebrating America Through Quilting”!

Created in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary, this unique handcrafted exhibit shows the artistry, creativity, and patriotic spirit of local quilters.

This past Sunday, we celebrated the special opening of the Hamilton House Museum as part of America’s 250th Anniversary celebration! See some highlights of the day's tours.

The event was hosted by the City of Clifton Health & Human Services, Health Department the Clifton Arts Center, the Friends of the Hamilton–Van Wagoner House, and the Department of Public Works.

There’s still time to visit and explore this historic landmark!

Admission is FREE, so bring the whole family and enjoy a day of local history, culture, and community.

🇺🇸🎶 On Friday, we officially kicked off the celebrations leading up to America’s 250th anniversary with a special performance of “Patriotic Favorites” by the New Jersey Symphony Chamber Players.

Guests enjoyed an inspiring evening as the quartet performed beloved classics, including “America the Beautiful” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” along with many other memorable selections.

In honor of the upcoming 250th anniversary of our nation, the Hamilton House Museum is opening its doors for a special series of summer tours. Come explore this beautiful 19th-century historic farmhouse and step back in time to learn about our local heritage.

This week, World History classes from Clifton High School, along with students from Terence C. Reilly School No. 7 in Elizabeth, NJ, visited the gallery and sculpture park. During their visit, students explored the “Spirit of America” art exhibit in the gallery and participated in guided tours of the sculpture park.

The “Spirit of America” exhibition, presented by the Clifton Association of Artists, remains on view through Saturday, June 13th. The gallery is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

May has been an incredibly exciting and memorable month at the Gallery! 🇺🇸🎨

We began with the annual Congressional Art Competition Exhibition, showcasing the outstanding talent, vision, and creativity of young artists from communities throughout our region. We then transitioned into the Clifton Association of Artists exhibition, “Spirit of America,” celebrating America’s 250th anniversary through inspiring works of art and patriotic expression.

Join us for a special Opening Meet & Greet Reception on Saturday, May 16, from 1:00 PM–4:00 PM. Meet the featured artists and enjoy an inspiring afternoon of art, conversation, and creative exchange with some of Clifton’s outstanding local talent.

The exhibit, Spirit of America, commemorates the nation’s 250th anniversary by bringing people together through artistic expression. The collection showcases a diverse range of works, including oil, acrylic, pastel, and watercolor paintings, photography, and sculpture—celebrating the creativity and spirit of our local arts community. Artwork will also be available for purchase.
