Cleveland State University Department of Art & Design anticipates an opening for a 10 hours a week (normally twice a week, 5-hour stretch), part-time position maintaining and supervising a woodshop in educational setting. No summers or university breaks and holidays. If approved, the start day will be in early September. Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining basic woodshop. Prior experience in educational setting is highly preferred. Safety is the main concern, so this position is ideal for a retired woodshop school teacher or technician.

Hannah Gregory is a third year student in the Cleveland State University Department of Art & Design. Through her work, Hannah explores the intersection of labor, womanhood, identity, and collaboration. She aims to highlight the beauty, vastness, diversity, and stories of the people and places she holds close. Working closely with friends from diverse backgrounds, she says she hopes to transcend the limitations of individual perspectives and instead weave together narratives born of trust and deep appreciation.

Paris Snyder is a 2nd year Studio Art major in the Cleveland State University Department of Art & Design. Her work is often inspired by the ocean and the beauty of nature. Driven by a perpetual sense of longing, Paris uses her artwork to slow down and embrace the present. She enjoys creating prints and sculptures that act as a place for the viewer to pause and sit in the moment.

Lauren Heier is a Studio Art Major at Cleveland State University Department of Art & Design. She loves creating art that is fantastical with a dark twist. Her goal as an artist is to draw the viewer into her art and make them wonder. When discussing her work, Lauren says “Art compels me to push myself and put forth an effort to discover what I am capable of. I want to make what I see in my mind come to life with the realness of which I imagined it.”

Erin McHugh is a Cleveland based emerging artist and student in the Cleveland State University Department of Art & Design whose focus is in printmaking and drawing. Using figural imagery, she addresses her struggles with femininity and self-perception, juxtaposing soft feminine elements, with darker themes and moods.
