At Home In Africa African household arts from 33 countries that display exceptional forms, surface decoration and pleasing irregularity. Aug 28-Oct 4, 2014

From August 28 through October 4, come view At Home in Africa: Design, Beauty and Pleasing Irregularity in Domestic Settings at The Galleries at Cleveland State University, 1307 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. Furniture, pottery, tools, sacred household objects, leisure goods, clothing and accessories from the last 130 years prove informative and inspirational. Over 300 objects from 24 countries will be on display, with deeper looks at the domestic arts of the Tuareg, Fulani, Bamana, Hausa, Nupe, Akan, Yoruba, Cameroon Grasslands groups, Kuba and Zulu. Several special events will complement the show.
