For those who wish to remain at home and visit the museum virtually, the CMA will continue to develop and share the high-level, digital-engagement offerings for which the CMA is known worldwide. Museums anchor the places they serve, and we are committed to providing a truly safe space in which all our neighbors may see themselves, heal, and find peace. For more information visit cma.org/visitplan.

Facial coverings will be required.

The CMA will scan the temperature of all visitors upon entry.

The café and restaurant, museum store and coat check will initially remain closed; however, the museum will reopen these amenities as circumstances safely allow.

Looking for ways to keep connected with CAS while The Cleveland Museum of Art is closed? Enjoy the with "Staying Connected", CMA's new virtual programming series featuring curated content tailored to each affinity group's unique interests. Artist Yayoi Kusama was born in 1929. This image is a throwback to when “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors” was on view at the CMA in 2018. Throughout her career, Kusama has produced more than 20 distinct Infinity Mirror Rooms. The exhibition, organized by the Hirshhorn Museum, was the first to focus on this pioneering body of work by presenting seven of the rooms, the most ever shown together. Did you see the exhibition? What was your favorite work?

Exciting news on FRONT 2021!

“‘The show will address difficulties, wounds, things that require healing,’ Cleveland philanthropist and cultural entrepreneur Fred Bidwell, the show’s founding CEO, said in an interview before the event. But he said: ‘there’s a speculative sense of hope and optimism that change is possible.’”

The 2021 edition of the FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art adopted a title from a Langston Hughes poem, plus healing and transformation as its major themes.
