This slightly cooler weather has perked up our garden. We’re headed into my favorite time of year when it starts to get just a little cool in the morning & at night. I think it’s my garden’s favorite time of year too & it gives a little push for that last hurrah. I know that the heat is on the way next week. Hopefully it won’t last long!

A few days ago, I put in a couple of hard hours in my vegetable garden. I needed to rest so I threw a large piece of cardboard down on the ground and did something that I have not done in years. Two years in to retirement and I’m learning a few things.

I just changed my bedroom around after 14 years and I wonder what took me so long to see that the old way was not the best way. 🤷‍♀️

I bought this little porcelain bird in Leland, Michigan years ago & she looks very happy here. I remember it was a beautiful day and I had a lovely conversation with the young woman who had just opened the shop. Sometimes a purchase also becomes a memory ( but hardly ever in a big box store! ).

Again, I need to say that these are not my beautiful vegetables in our Community Garden but they are examples of my goals. I am trying and have had some successes and some failures. Such is life and such is a garden.
