Clearwater KS Historical Museum Open Sundays 1-4pm unless a holiday weekend, or by appointment.

The Clearwater Historical Society Museum was founded in 1991 and houses collections dating back to the founding of Clearwater, KS in 1885 and its origins as a trading post stop on the Chisholm Trail from 1865-1874, and the people who lived nearby.

Clearwater High School built in 1961. 7th & 8th grade classes in the west wing-9th thur 12th in the rest of school. School system grew Clearwater Middle School was built in 1974-75. 6th - 8th grade classes were held there.

Clearwater school built in 1910 where the present Elementary West is now. By 1966 older portions on the north and west sides of building were removed and new classrooms were added or remodeled to accommodate the overflow of 4th and 5th grades.

Clearwater Ks High School consisting of 4 room built in the1890’s after the first school was burnt down by arsonists. Chart class 1st -3rd grades used the white building for only 1 year. Sat on the southeast corner of Ross and Prospect. By 1907 only one room was used for high schoolers and the other 3 rooms were used for younger students.

Sante Fe railroad Station 1887-1937 ran from Mulvane Ks to Viola Ks located south of town. Aspey Brick located north of train station built bricks for early buildings as well as chimneys and cisterns

First Baptist Church 1883-1957 then sold Church to the Church of the Nazarene which was moved to there location at Ross and Second and continue to remodel to the church it is today.
First Baptist then built the second Church and added the educational building in 1955. Later the present Church was built.
