New to our class offerings this year! THIS SATURDAY, take our Graphic Design: Brand Identity Design Principles course from 9:30am-4pm.

Explore the foundations of graphic design while gaining real-world, industry-inspired skills in this hands-on class for aspiring designers. Through a guided, step-by-step process, you’ll discover how professional designers approach creative projects, including how to:

-Organize a design project from concept through completion

-Think strategically with a brand identity mindset

-Create, refine, and iterate on logo designs

-Build quick mockups to present ideas clearly to clients

-Properly prepare and package files for client delivery

This class is ideal for beginners, creative thinkers, or anyone curious about pursuing graphic design as a skill or career path. Walk away with a stronger understanding of design workflows and the confidence to bring your ideas to life.

Required materials: Please bring your own computer with “Affinity Studio” installed, along with a charger to keep it powered throughout class.

Introducing the Seventh Partner in Our Spotlight Series — the Thousand Islands Arts Center ~ Home of the Handweaving Museum.

As part of our upcoming virtual roundtable, Textiles Close Up: The Dressed Body & Wearable Innovations, the Thousand Islands Arts Center brings a rich perspective grounded in handweaving, heritage arts, and textile preservation.

A nonprofit educational institution and state-chartered museum, the Arts Center advances art, craft, and its distinctive handwoven textile collection through education and exhibition. Its year-round curriculum, weaving and pottery studios, exhibitions, and textile library cultivate appreciation for traditional making practices while supporting artists, students, and the wider community.

The Handweaving Museum’s permanent collection offers an important connection to the histories, techniques, and enduring possibilities of woven textiles—inviting us to consider how material knowledge from the past continues to inform the dressed body today.

Join us virtually on September 23, 2026 from 12:00-1:30 PM EDT for the second part of this program. Everyone is welcome—whether or not you participated in our June program.

Classroom packages are available for educators and academic programs interested in participating as a group. A limited number of student scholarships are also available for eligible applicants. We encourage interested students and emerging scholars to reach out for additional information. Contact [email protected] to learn more.

Something’s been a little bit fishy this week at the Arts Center! 🐟🎣

Not only is our Kids’ Art Camp swimming with fish-themed fun, but our galleries are home to over 100 fish as part of our current exhibits!

Today, our campers headed down to the galleries for a “Reel Art Fish Finder” scavenger hunt, searching high and low to spot some of the many fish hiding throughout the artwork. 🎨🐠

While the kids were fishing around downstairs, Doug Drumm was leading a Gyotaku Fish Painting class upstairs! Participants got to create their own prints using the real outline of a fish, transferring its shape onto fabric to create one-of-a-kind artwork. 🐟🖌️

It was a day full of art, fish, and plenty of fun at the Arts Center! 🎣
