Red River Museum The Red River Historical Society in Powell Co. KY exists to preserve and educate about the rich history and culture of our surrounding area and its peoples.

Come visit and experience the many items donated by our friends and neighbors. Hours:
Saturdays: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sundays: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Closed for federal holidays

On October 24, the Estill Action Group invites you to a special day of local history and outdoor adventure at the historic Fitchburg Furnace.
Hear Skip Johnson share the incredible story of this remarkable old iron furnace, then join us for an easy hike through Needmore Hollow to explore more of our area's history and natural beauty.
And after the history lesson, everyone is welcome to stay for a good old-fashioned soup bean supper with the Fitchburg Masonic Lodge #562!
