We are absolutely thrilled to see our "Off the Rails" fundraiser featured beautifully in the July issue of *Accent West* magazine! A huge thank you goes out to all of our incredible sponsors, the wonderful folks who attended, our fantastic musical guests, and the delicious food vendors who made the evening so special. We truly couldn't have pulled it off without our dedicated volunteers who handled everything from setup and working the event to the final cleanup. Thank you all for supporting the Armstrong County Museum, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

๐ŸŽฌ FROM CLAUDE TO HOLLYWOOD: CELEBRATING OUR "HUD" HISTORY! ๐ŸŽฌ
Did you know that the 1963 Hollywood classic Hud, starring Paul Newman, was filmed right here in Claude, Texas, using landmarks like the historic Charles Goodnight Ranch and the Gem Theater? During production in 1962, our town was temporarily transformed into the fictional "Vernal, Texas," creating an unforgettable chapter in local history. We are incredibly grateful to former resident Joe Watson, who recently donated a rare "Vernal News" special edition newspaper kept by his family since the filming. Drop a comment below to share your own family memories of when Hollywood came to town!

๐Ÿค  **Welcome home, Lettie!** ๐Ÿค
We were thrilled to welcome Claude native Lettie Harrell (all the way from Bellaire, Texas!) back to the Armstrong County Museum today. She is visiting the area with her husband and friends to see the iconic *TEXAS* Outdoor Musical and spend time at the family ranch. Lettie stopped in to explore our exhibits and connect with her deep family roots in Armstrong County. Thank you for stopping by, Lettie, and enjoy your time back home!
