Fun fact about the Wm. P. Brinton House 1867! As we continue to restore the historical home, we find fascinating pieces of history once left and thought to be forgotten.
During our first walk through the house as we reached the 3rd floor, our team noticed a space set aside that looked to be possibly lived in at one time. During weeks of documenting original artifacts from the residence we happened to close the door and noticed this piece of art.
After much thought and some research we have discovered that this section of the 3rd floor had been the area where the care takers (workers, servants) were living when this beautiful home was given as a wedding present to the newlyweds, Wm. P. and Mary E. Cooper Brinton.
The history is rich in this home and the treasures of artifacts and lost history have only gotten greater. The house continues to tell us stories of it's past, and our knowledge of our towns founding families continues to grow!
