Great news! Due to the overwhelming demand, a second Reverse Appliqué Sweatshirt Workshop will be offered.

If you were disappointed that the first workshop was full, don’t miss out on this opportunity. Learn the art of reverse appliqué by embellishing a plain sweatshirt and transforming it into a uniquely charming wardrobe upgrade.

The second workshop will be held on September 16, 2026, at the Levy County Quilt Museum. Fee: $10.00

I wanted to thank everyone who came to the “Spices made in your Kitchen” class on Wednesday!

It was so much fun watching your reactions and hearing your thoughts as you tasted the difference between store-bought (with all the chemicals) and fresh homemade spices.

Learn to use reverse appliqué by embellishing a plain sweatshirt to create a uniquely charming wardrobe upgrade.

How often should you replace your rotary cutter blade?

It’s time to change it whenever it no longer cuts smoothly. A new blade glides effortlessly through the fabric; once it becomes difficult to push or if you have to apply extra pressure, it’s time to switch to a new blade.

Another clear indication that it needs to be replaced is when it leaves threads connected without cutting cleanly. This suggests that the blade has a nick in it.

Join us for Patchwork Pals - July 22, 2026, Wednesday 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Patchwork Pals is a friendly, come-as-you-are gathering hosted by Log Cabin Quilters at the Levy County Quilt Museum. Bring your own craft project and enjoy a relaxed day of stitching, conversation, and shared creativity at the historic museum.

All skill levels are welcome — from beginners to experienced. This is not a class, but a community quilting day inspired by traditional quilting bees. However, if you’re not a quilter, come with your crochet or knitting project. Any and all craft skills are welcome.

A potluck lunch adds to the fun, so please bring a dish to share. Come for the sewing, stay for the friendships, and keep old traditions alive — one stitch at a time.
