We stock original art by Chicago based artists and artisans. We have a carefully curated selection of new & used books and Tarot decks. We like rare books, witchcraft, sculpture, hand poured candles, essential oil perfumes, jewelry, notebooks & cards, fancy soap, zines, stickers, artist prints, and all manner of printed and handmade objects.

Thanks to all who came out to the opening of Grand Garden. It was lovely to see what tulips and daffodils Emily of .co has been growing & harvest a tulip or two. I'll be reading more Tarot in the garden this growing season, which spans from now until October. 💫

Grand Garden is just steps from .kitchen, who was hosting an exciting vegan market this afternoon. It was so fun to run into friends like & all in one place!

Join us Wednesday evening, March 19, from 6-10pm, for Psychic Equinox, a seasonal astrological alignment party.

The March equinox is called the vernal equinox because it signals the beginning of spring (vernal means fresh or new like the spring). It’s a time for new beginnings, fresh starts, and letting go of winter’s hardships. We all need to let go of this winter vibes, don’t we?

To help tune your seasonal shift, we have enlisted some Tarot experts to give readings. To ease you into a one card pull and reading, we are pairing a cocktail ( NA or Alcoholic) with the session for $20. If you want some extra time with a Reader, you can just sign up.

Vibes are coordinated by White Wolf Syndicate. DJ Nate will play the esoteric sounds of the coming seasonal change.

Hi, folks. As tensions are pretty high today, I wanted to say hello. 🖤

Please be kind to yourself & folks in your communities in these weird times.

If you're able to vote, please do. Your voice matters. Illinois is not a swing state, so some responsibility is off our plates if you live in Chicago. That said, there are many judges to vote out of power & other local issues on this election ballot. Vote for those who cannot due to their legal status.

As for this election, I think we have seen what the reversal of Roe v. Wade has meant for so many states. Healthcare for people with uteruses is essential. People are bleeding to death in front of hospitals in red states. We need a president who will fight for reproductive rights.

The rights of people in Gaza matter. The people of this country need to keep pushing for an end to the war in Gaza, regardless of who becomes president.

That said, the false equivalency of Kamala Harris with Trump needs to stop. Trump has threatened the rights of immigrants from the beginning and has used boldly fascist statements to fuel his campaign.

All said, our collective struggle does not end with this election. People will need to keep supporting each other, regardless of the election results. ❤️

Yesterday, I read Tarot for Death & Disco Death, who didn't remove their masks the entire time. Whoever said "don't meet your heroes" was dead wrong. I love Halloween. 🖤💀 Spirits walk among us!

It's been a pleasure to find welcoming community in different zones after having a brick-and-mortar storefront for years. Often, I wondered where I would go & what I would jump into after closing the (physical) Humboldt shop.

I'm thankful that Tarot has been a continuing mainstay and calling despite different moves in & out of places, from Florida to Chicago, to having a physical sh0p and then an online st0re. I'm marking 12 years of reading professionally after reading for 20. The longer I keep reading, the more the work transforms. Thanks to you who are reading this for following me on this journey through different seasons. 🖤

Did you miss the full supermoon? Fear not, snagged a gorgeous photo of the Hunter's Moon from Humboldt Park, Chicago. 🌝🍂

According to writer Deborah Boyd, it's the close location to the horizon that gives the Hunter's Moon its warm color.

"The orange color of a moon near the horizon is a true physical effect," Boyd explains. "It stems from the fact that - when you look toward the horizon - you are looking through a greater thickness of Earth's atmosphere than when you gaze up and overhead. The atmosphere scatters blue light - that's why the sky looks blue. The greater thickness of atmosphere in the direction of a horizon scatters blue light most effectively, but it lets red light pass through to your eyes. So a full moon near the horizon - any full moon near the horizon - takes on a yellow or orange or reddish hue."

If you missed this full supermoon, the next supermoon is forecast for November 14th. This will be the largest full moon of the year! 🌝🔥
