THE TRUTH ABOUT THE HIPPIES.
In 1968 I was 8 years old. I was destined to live and observe the lessons of the '60's without paying the price of facing the Vietnam draft. The whole generation owes our older brothers and sisters, the same age as our Rock heroes, a great hedonistic debt for the s*x, drugs and Rock & Roll we enjoyed. They won the day in part through the Ghandi-like idea of peaceful protest. This idea in practice won independence for India from Great Britain. Back then college campuses, the refuge of the children of the rich, were teaming with debate, pro & con, over the morality of the Vietnam war. The ytook over administative offices and "occupied" them. These protesters were encouraged to "tune in, turn on & drop out" by L*D Guru & Harvard professor Timothy Leary. This counterculture group became the "Hippies" and Rock and Roll was sharpened to a cutting edge with such force of will it ended the war. The end came in 1970 when the government shot and killed 4 Kent State students. Previously they had only beat the s**t out of them. Like Ashli Babbitt of January 6th, the killing of protesting American citizens is intollerable to the masses. And the protests stopped like the stolen election protests. But so did the war, because people got wise. There wasn't anything they could do about it at the time, but they waited as the revulsion of the American people changed the national groupthink. Just like today. With the distaste for a sitting president to go after his rival, (a former President who served with distiction) we wait until we can do something about it. But have you noticed the evolution of protests in the ensuing years? We now have ANTIFA and BLM who are in many people's eyes the bootstrapped thugs of the state. No legitimate protest occurs without a solid POLICE there to crack some skulls should these neo-hippies and looters get out of line. The Hippies became the Yippies. The Yippies became the Yuppies, and in a final fit of liberal righteousness, America elected a Black man. And as a result of his unvetted marxist leanings, the Tea Party was born. An astroturf group, Occupy Wall Street was fabricated to counter the real grass roots uprise of the Tea Party. This group evolved into today's ANTIFA, a group who sets their own wisdom as God's Law and inflicts violence when they judiciously feel is applicable. Campus protests are now to silence debate. It's like a whole generation has gone AWOL. They need to realize that the barbarians are now in country, and a government sanctioned slaughter of innocent Americans is not out of the question. And protest is now used as a weapon to terrorize. Spread the word to all your friends that while there can be no turning back, there may be one last shot this fall to make America Great again.
