Get your party hats ready! The museum turns 44 today and Earl is ready to celebrate 🥳

First opened in 1982 in response to the slashing of arts programming in Chicago schools, the museum was first housed in what is now the Chicago Cultural Center before coming to Navy Pier in 1995. Since its opening, CCM has provided arts programs, STEM experiences, imaginative play, and more to millions of children and their parents and caregivers.

That's what one CCM colleague's child said over the weekend after curiosity got the better of her and she unscrewed the wing nut on the base of a living room lamp. Of course, it fell right over, but this five-year-old knew what to do about it after spending so much time solving real-world problems in Skyline.
