The Gage Gallery was founded in 2001, shortly after Roosevelt University's expansion into the historic Gage building on Michigan Avenue. Situated directly across the street from Chicago's Millennium Park, the gallery has exhibited nationally and internationally known photographers and artists, and has hosted numerous public lectures, panel discussions and symposia. The gallery is committed to show

ing contemporary work that addresses the important social issues of our time. The Gage Gallery is affiliated with, and supported by the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences at Roosevelt University. Gage Gallery hours: M-F, 10am-1pm, Sat, 10am-4pm, Closed Sundays

COMING SOON: an innovative crowdsourced companion project to our ongoing digital exhibition titled "Black Summer: Race, Resistance and Resilience." This project will provide a platform for people to share their own photography and experiences from social justice protests of the summer of 2020 to present day. More details will be announced soon.

In the meantime, the exhibition, curated by Vanessa Charlot .charlot and featuring the photography of 11 photographers of color from around the country who captured images from the Black Lives Matter and civil rights protests against police brutality during the summer of 2020, continues at: www.roosevelt.edu/blacksummer.

TONIGHT AT 7 PM CDT: Immigrant Mass: A Multimedia Music Film. This event by Chicago College of Performing Arts masters student in composition, Carlos Jaquez Gonzalez was inspired by and uses audio from Greg Constantine’s Detained exhibition, which was featured at the Gage Gallery in fall/spring 19-20. The Roosevelt University Conservatory Choir, the Chicago Composers Orchestra, and soloists will be bringing this provocative piece, which highlights first-hand accounts of immigrants who have been held at border detention camps, to life.
