I went over and washed the windows of my old shop this morning and it was therapeutic. A year ago when I was fighting breast cancer it was super stressful to have people take over my lease that ended up not being who we thought they were. The political rants and disrespect for neighbors was so opposite from Burgoo’s mission…and even though it had nothing to do with me, I apologize to all of you. It has been quite a year but I survived and hopefully someone cool will take over the space. We spent a lot of money on the electric and the front door and the gallery walls so would be great space for another artistic shop!

Sorry if this was not clear before,but Burgoo Chicago is permanently closed. We are not related to the new business in our old space but are moving our items to the studio upstairs. This has taken some time because Allison was diagnosed with breast cancer and just had a mastectomy. We appreciate all the friendship and regular customers and look forward to seeing you in the neighborhood this summer. We really tried to make it work. ❤️‍🩹

Hello Burgoo fans! We would like to inform you that we will be temporarily closed for the month of January while we decide what we are doing with the space. We want to focus on more events and if you are looking to rent a space for a meeting or gathering please reach out. We are working on a fun Valentines Day pop-up event scheduled for February 4th complete with card making and shopping surprises. Thanks for your support and patience. 🥰
