Celebrating 10 years in Chewelah, Washington. Trails End Gallery's mission is to bring quality art and artists to the community.

Trails End Gallery represents local and regional artists with events like First Thursday, the Winterfest juried arts show and the non- juried Plein Air event Memorial weekend. We attract regional and local artists along with a continuous display of custom jewelry and sterling silver jewelry by Tim Nielsen Designs. Jewelry design and manufacturing or repair is by appointment only. We currently are

scheduling 5-6 gallery shows a year including our open juried Winterfest show. We feature an artists lecture the evening before each gallery opening and the show runs for approximately 6-8 weeks with 1 week in-between to take the show down and set up the next. We are constantly looking for new artists to show. We also schedule local advertising, radio interviews & artist features in The Independent our local newspaper. It was a great weekend for plein air painting and we're lucky we missed the rain. Thank you to all the artists who participated. Should be a great Art Walk Thursday June 4th from 5-8pm and the plein air show will be up until June 27th at Trails End Gallery and The Yale Press. A few nice paintings from the weekend.

Let the fun begin! looking forward to seeing who checks in this year for the 3rd annual Chewelah Plein Air event. Check in begins tomorrow or Saturday and it looks like we'll have great weather. The 3rd annual Chewelah Plein Air 2026 painting event.

Friday May22nd-May24th. Entry fee is $10 per artist for up to 5 pieces submitted for the Plein Air show opening First Thursday June 4th at Trails End Gallery and The Yale Press in Chewelah, WA. This is a fun event and open to all artists 18 yrs or older. This is a non-juried event. Artists check in Friday May 22nd at Trails End Gallery between 9:30am and 5:30pm, pay your fee and have your substrate (paper, canvas etc.) initialed and then then enjoy painting outdoors in the Chewelah area. Finished work will be submitted to Trails End Gallery Sunday May 24th from 3-4pm. You can submit up to 5 paintings and all work needs to be finished, framed or on cradle board and hang ready. We prefer no serrated hangers as they will not work with our wall system. The show ends June 27th and all unsold work needs to be picked up within 30 days from the end of the show. Any unclaimed work will be donated to local non-profits for fund raisers. The art needs to be reasonably priced, and the artist will receive 65% of the sale price. All artists will be paid no later than July15th on sales. We can help you with pricing if you're unsure. Artists understand their work may be used free of charge for the art poster, print or digital ad in promotion for this Plein Air event. Please contact Tim at Trails End Gallery with any questions.

Spring is here and First Thursday should be great. Margo and Gail will be giving their art talk at Quartzite Brewery Wednesday May 6th from 6:30-8pm. Great way to enjoy a tasty beverage and support the arts. Nice work by Blake Wiers on Quartzite's walls.

I just finished hanging "The Best Of Us" show featuring Chewelah artists Gail Johannes & Margo Sety. The show opens this Wednesday April 8th 5-8pm. A vibrant show featuring watercolor, acrylic, pastel and mixed media with a strong local narrative. The show runs through May 30th and Margo & Gail will do a live interview with Chuck Ritchie on KCHW 102.7FM from 4-5pm this Wednesday before their show opening.

Dave's workshop is full! It will be held at the Huff Center in Chewelah, WA Saturday April 11th 9am-4pm with a 1hr break for lunch from noon-1pm. This class is open to intermediate to advanced painters looking to develop more techniques. All materials will be provided as shown with acrylic being the painting medium. Dave has 30yrs teaching experience as a collegiate professor teaching painting & drawing and has an MFA in painting. The workshop is $175.00 and sign up & payment is through Trails End Gallery.
