Chester Historical Society Chester Historical Society promotes Chesterโ€™s rich heritage by preserving its historical places, documents, written and oral history.

We provide educational programs to our schools and community on our local history. 1915 Erie Railroad Station Museum:
The Chester Historical Society holds its monthly meetings virtually during Covid-19 Pandemic. It is handicapped-accessible. Annual events held at the museum include: the Chester Historical Society's annual yard sale fundraiser, the community tree lighting celebrating the holidays w

ith the museum open for special exhibitions. With its location on the Heritage Trail, several charity walks/runs utilize the museum's hospitality yearly. 1915 Erie Station Museum open 10 am to 3 pm Saturdays & 1-3 pm Sundays, May through October. Join us as Sugar Loaf celebrates America's 250th Birthday on Friday, July 3rd at 5:30 PM at Sugar Loaf Crossing, 1405 Kings Highway, Sugar Loaf.

Communities across the nation are marking this historic milestone. In SL, we'll celebrate it our own special wayโ€”through local history, storytelling, music, and community.

Richard and Susan Logothetis, will be opening their beautiful property once againโ€”the same setting that hosted 20 years of their beloved "On the Lawn" concert series.

Richard, Jeffrey Zahn, and the SLCF are producing an original live show that explores the birth of our nation. Discover some of the key people, places, and stories that helped shape our history - including the role that our local towns played in the revolution. Learn about the Great Chain, as well as the newly discovered Chester Armory.

Written by Teresa Gasparini and directed by Keith Dougherty, this fast-paced 45-minute production features a talented professional cast, along with music, dance, and a few surprise guests.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and favorite picnic foods, and join friends and neighbors for a memorable evening.

Orders are now being taken for the annual Kiwanis Fish & Chips dinner at Chester Academy in Chester, on February 20th (the first Friday of Lent) - Servings are continuous from 4:00 -7:00pm (take-out available 3:30 - 6:45pm). Cost is $22 per person. Meal includes fried fish, French fries, coleslaw, dinner roll, dessert, coffee/tea/lemonade.
You may pre-pay in cash or check payable to Chester Kiwanis. Contact any Chester Kiwanis member or message us here to make your purchase.

Chester Kiwanis works diligently to support our own community as well as around the globe, including our Toyland Project here in Chester, helping stock the Chester Food Pantry, scholarships in the Chester Academy, supporting local youth organizations, such as Boy & Girl Scouts, Meals on Wheels and soooo much more.
