The Cherryvale, Kansas Historical Museum The Cherryvale Historical Museum is dedicated to protecting, preserving and celebrating our varied and storied past for our future. Or by Appointment.

From legends of the old west to links with Hollywood, we offer something for everyone. The museum is open April - October on Friday's and Sunday's from 1:00 - 3:00. The museum is closed from November - March, but can be viewed by appointment. Call 620-336-2241 or 620-330-6829 or message us on Facebook to make an appointment.

What a gorgeous Fall Day for a cemetery crawl. Grab a sweatshirt, your chair and come out to the 7th Annual Cemetery Crawl at Fairview Cemetery. Show times are 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. $5.00 per person or $10 per car.

This is one of Cherryvale Historical Museums fundraisers for the year, and we really appreciate your support at this event. We have 4 great stories and four great story tellers, so we hope you learn a little more about Cherryvale's history and have a few laughs.

Someone will be directing parking, and we will sit at the Finley stone for the event.

We sometimes hear the question "What is a Cemetery Crawl?" No we don't crawl through the cemetery.

The event portrays four Cherryvale individuals that are buried in Fairview Cemetery. Volunteers portray the person in first person character. Most of the individuals portrayed are early settlers in Cherryvale, some of which have been mayors, bankers, doctors, surveyors, young socialite ladies, business owners and farmers.

The stories give everyone a chance to imagine what Cherryvale was like in the early days of Cherryvale from the 1870's - early 1900's. It's a fun and educational events. Mark your calendar for this Saturday, October 17th. Show times are either 3:00 or 5:00. Cost is $5 per person or $10 per car. Bring a chair and join us. We will be watching the weather and if it's too cold, we will move to the museum.

Thanks to everyone that toured the museum last weekend during the Cherryvale All School Reunion. We enjoyed hosting the Class of 1976 and the Classes of 1967-1968-1969-1970 as well as everyone else, that stopped by.

We hoped you liked what you saw, and we look forward to your stopping by again or bringing your family in for a visit. We had several people bring in historical items to donate to the museum. We can't wait to get them out on display.

Fall has arrived and it's the time of the year when the Cherryvale Historical Museum starts thinking about the annual cemetery crawl.

Join us on October 17 for the 7th Annual Cemetery Crawl. Show times are 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
