The  Cherryvale, Kansas Historical Museum The Cherryvale Historical Museum is dedicated to protecting, preserving and celebrating our varied and storied past for our future. Or by Appointment.

From legends of the old west to links with Hollywood, we offer something for everyone. The museum is open April - October on Friday's and Sunday's from 1:00 - 3:00. The museum is closed from November - March, but can be viewed by appointment. Call 620-336-2241 or 620-330-6829 or message us on Facebook to make an appointment.

During the month of June, the museum will have a wedding dress exhibit. Dresses range from 1880's to 1990's. Some of them are from the museum's collection and others are on temporary loan. See how the styles have changed during this time.

The exhibit will include a wedding photo board. If you are interested in sharing a photo of your wedding dress, attach a picture in the comments and we will put you on the wall. Name and date of wedding is appreciated.

1910 - New Santa Fe Depot was built. 1913 - Cherryvale Carnegie Library was constructed. 1915 - Cherryvale High School was built on the corner of 4th and Carson. Cherryvale Brick was used to build lots of brick buildings in Cherryvale. 1917- first swimming pool "The Nat" was built. Now the play area in the park.

In 1912 the Cherryvale Womens Club reorganized and became the Womens Library Club. Their goal was to develop and grow a library in Cherryvale. It was through this club and their hard work that a Carnegie Library was built in Cherryvale in 1913.

In 1915 a new high school building was built on the corner of Carson and Fourth. This building would serve many generations of students before finally being torn down in 1998.
