Festival of Trees 2026

The Sanford Museum is looking forward to our very popular “Festival of Trees” display in the West Gallery of the museum. We would like to invite all businesses and organizations to decorate a tree for this special exhibit. Since this is our country’s 250th anniversary, we are keeping the red, white, and blue walls, and invite you all to use a patriotic theme as you plan the decorations for your tree.

If you decide to decorate a tree, and we hope all of you do, here are a few things to think about:
The exhibit opens to the public Friday, November 27th at 9:00 a.m.

Trees can be decorated from November 19th until November 25th from 9:00 – 5:00 (Monday through Friday) and 12:00 to 5:00 (Saturday and Sunday). November 23rd (Monday) the museum will be open until 7:00 p.m. so you can come in and decorate after work if you can’t get in during the day or weekend.
The trees should be artificial otherwise they get very dry.
Trees should have lights otherwise they are overlooked by visitors If you have had trees here in the past, try to come up with new decorations this year so the display is different each year. (A Patriotic theme for this year)
Your tree needs to be labeled with your organization’s name, you can make the sign or if you let us know what name you want on your tree we could make it, but it will need a label.
If you decide to have a tree (and we hope to have a record number this year!) please call and let us know (225-3922), also if you have questions, concerns or schedule problems let us know, we will work with you!
Your tree will need to be picked up Jan. 2nd – Jan. 5th
