There’s just something magical about this time of year! The crisp fall air, the beautiful colors of the changing leaves, pumpkins on every porch, and those cozy autumn smells of cinnamon, apples, and fresh-baked goodies. 🍎🍂🍁

It’s the season of cozy sweaters, warm drinks, pumpkin everything, and making memories that feel like a little bit of magic. 🍁☕🎃

🎃🍂 Souders Historical Museum is on the hunt for pumpkins! 🍂🎃

We have a few upcoming field trips with some very excited kiddos, and we would love to send each child home with a pumpkin to enjoy! 🧡

We’re looking for anyone who may have pumpkins available for purchase—whether you grow them, have extras, or know someone who does!

After much thought, we've made the difficult decision to pause all public events for the remainder of this year. With our ongoing construction projects and a lack of donations needed to support our events and museum operations, we simply aren't able to host Fall Fest this season.

While we're disappointed, we're also excited about the improvements being made and look forward to welcoming everyone back for future events.

The museum is still open for private events, and we are always happy to open our doors for those who would like to visit the museum by appointment. We love sharing the history of Souders with our community and hope you'll continue to stop by.

As always, Souders Historical Farm Museum is a nonprofit organization, and every donation—big or small—helps preserve our history and keeps projects like these moving forward. Your generosity truly makes a difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.

Did you miss me? 👀🌾

I know we’ve been a little quiet lately… but that’s because we’ve been hard at work! 🚜🔨

Our team has been busy replacing the walkway to the Prairie Theatre, and we couldn’t be more excited about how it’s coming together. This project has truly been a family effort, and we know our Uncle Floyd would be so proud to see everyone rolling up their sleeves and working side by side to continue caring for the place he loved so much. ❤️

This is just one of several updates happening around Souders Historical Farm Museum. Thank you for your patience and continued support while we work to preserve our little piece of history.

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank Tom Gronniger for the incredible hard work, dedication, and heart he has poured into Souders over the years.

Tom’s commitment, generosity, and willingness to help in so many ways have made a lasting impact on our museum and community. His dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are beyond grateful for everything he has done to help preserve and support this special place.

We also want to thank Tom’s family for the beautiful new décor around the tree. Their thoughtful contribution adds so much charm and meaning to the grounds, and we truly appreciate the love and care behind it.

Thank you again, Tom, Katie and family, for your continued support, hard work, and dedication. Souders is better because of you. ❤️

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Wichita Farm & Ranch Club for coming out to visit Souders Historical Farm Museum and for your generous donations!

We had such an incredible time hosting everyone that we completely forgot to stop and take photos—which says a lot about how much fun we were having!

The food was absolutely amazing, and the company was even better. We truly enjoyed spending time with such a wonderful group of people who share a love for history, community, and agriculture.

Your support means so much to us and helps us continue preserving and sharing the history of Souders Historical Farm Museum. Thank you again for spending part of your day with us—we hope to see you all again soon! ❤️🌾🚜
