I'm looking for information , records, maps, pictures, and stories of the relocation of Slate Bottom Creek that happened in the 1960's . Twelve years ago I bought a home on French Road with the creek as my northern property line. the creek runs straight as an arrow east and west ( More like a canal not a creek ) When I look back at old areal photos and maps of the area the creek has a completely different path. I've call the army corp of engineers and nobody there could tall me a thing about the how and why, they did however agree that it has been relocated. So I'm trying to find out how it all came about. This is a picture of the creek from my back yard, and yes we have water and fish in the creek all year. ( French near Borden)

Suggestions please. This person died in nov 1930 at the gowanda state hospital. Death cert says she buried at pine hill. When i did research on pine hill, i read that it became part of the united French and german cemetery...part of my calvary group now. I went there and they have no record of her. They even looked to see if she was buried with her son-in-law. The entire family was quite destitute. The son in law is buried in a single grave with no marker at ridge lawn/mt calvary. Her one daughter (wife of son in law) also died at gowanda state (she is buried in the old state hosp cemetery/catholic section) off wheater). Her other daughter died before her and is buried at holy cross in lackawanna (single grave/no marker her funeral/blessing of the co**se as records state was at an Irish catholic church in bflo). This woman came from ireland. There was no newspaper listing of her death. I am also pretty confident she is buried in the buffalo area and not collins because the undertaker was on broadway in bflo. Any suggestions or insight on where/what this cemetery is?
