🦁 Lion Fountain Fundraiser Update

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, restoration of the Lion Fountain continues to move forward!

So far, we have:

🦁 3 lions fully sponsored
🦁 2 additional lion sponsorships promised
💚 $1,399.75 raised toward the $3,600 needed to fully restore Billy

That means we have $2,200.25 left to raise for Billy’s restoration.

Every donation, adoption, purchase, and sponsorship is helping us get closer to bringing the Lion Fountain back to life.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported the project so far. Thank you for helping us preserve this special part of MacCallum More for future generations.

😍We loved seeing a familiar face stop by our Grilled Chicken Fundraiser!

Gilbert Baskerville Jr., owner of The Music Hut and our featured performer for Jazz in the Gardens, stopped by to pick up his plate and support MMMG.

We’re grateful for his support and excited to welcome Gilbert and his band to MMMG on September 19!

There’s something special about seeing members of our community support one another, and we appreciate Gilbert being part of it. 💚

The photograph shows Anne and Judge John Iverson Boswell sitting beneath these beautiful portraits of Judge John’s great, great grandparents, Charles and Margaret “Peggy” Robertson. These beautiful portraits were passed down to CM Boswell – who gifted them to his wife Etta upon their marriage. They hung in the Boswell Mansion until Etta died in 1964. They were then passed on to Judge John and his wife. Upon their death, the portraits were gifted to Colonial Willamsburg. They are currently on exhibition in the Gladys and Franklin Clark Foundation Gallery in an exhibit called “We The People: American Folk Art Portraits”.
Photograph was taken by Ethan Hill , it appeared in the Food & Wine Magazine., month and year unknown.
