We’re counting down over here! Two short weeks until the opening of artist Glory Day’s much anticipated solo exhibition, INTERDISCIPLINARIAN. Painting, ceramics, woodworking: This body of work draws the many threads of Glory Day McSharry’s art practice into a single chord.

Want to see the new work before anyone else? Shoot me a DM to get on Glory’s preview list.

Walk Through — a one-night-only exhibition at the Gibbes Museum of Art — honors the lives of survivors of domestic violence, with funds raised benefiting My Sister's House, Inc, a Charleston-based organization that exists to break the cycle of domestic violence.

Although tonight’s event is sold out, this body of work is not to be missed, friends. More than 60 incredible artists and more than 80 original artworks (!!) can be purchased online.

Here, we’re showing works by the handful of Meyer Vogl Gallery artists included in the exhibition: Susan Altman, Susan Colwell, Paul Ferrari, Dylan Martinez, Laurie Meyer, Melanie Parke, Anne Darby Parker, Marissa Vogl, and Carrie Beth Waghorn. Biggest kudos go to CINÉ Creative House for the incredible curation.

I’m popping a link to the exhibition in our bio. Please take a look and consider buying art for a very important cause ❤️❤️❤️

Charleston friends: Have you spotted a group of painters around the streets of downtown, or Sullivan’s Island, or Rockville, or Shem Creek (etc!) this week? Meet PAPSE — the Plein-Air Painters of the Southeast (Plein Air Painters Southeast).

You’re invited (and truly are not going to want to miss) to an exhibition and sale of their (potentially still wet!) paintings from Charleston this Friday at Meyer Vogl Gallery Daniel Island. 250 River Landing Drive, 5-8:30pm. The show is up for the one night only and is an incredible opportunity to collect works by some of the finest living artists in the southeast. Please join us.

Laurie Meyer’s “Saturday in the Park” series, which truly set things in motion for her Charleston-focused solo exhibition, Home Again. These paintings are 30x24inches each and so dang good. (And yes, each title is borrowed from the lyrics of the Chicago song “Saturday in the Park.”)

Which is your favorite?

1. Saturday in the Park, 30x24 inches oil
2. I Think It was the Fourth of July, 24x30 inches oil
3. Another Day in the Park, 30x24 inches oil
4. Fly the Colors of the World, 24x30 inches oil
5. A Real Celebration, 30x24 inches oil

Stop-you-in-your-tracks-good new arrivals from Aimee Erickson (I literally witnessed many people stopping in their tracks to ooh and ahh when I brought the paintings outside the gallery to photograph them). The gorgeous works are impressions from Aimee Erickson’s recent trip to India with her travel-painting group Arteva Club.
