Sharing a preview of our upcoming exhibition, “Voices from the Middle East,” opening this Friday, October 2.
Join us for the opening reception from 5–7 PM.

The exhibition features artists currently living and working in the Middle East, highlighting their work and giving a platform to artists who face limited access to international galleries and the global art market due to ongoing political conflict.

The show will be on display at both The George Gallery and our sister gallery, Peter Anthony Fine Art.

In her series titled Common Form, Mahtab Khodadadi takes a closer look at these ordinary domestic items, stripping down objects like meat grinders and sewing machines to their most essential shapes. By simplifying these forms, she highlights their surprising resemblance to ancient carved totems. Her artwork poses a thought-provoking question about human nature: while our ancestors turned to natural figures and carved idols for protection, today we place that same faith and emotional weight into mechanical tools. Instead of merely serving as symbols of something higher, modern technology has quietly taken that sacred place in our daily lives.
