"Sea Island Glory" – Prior to Jim’s retirement in May of 2018, he agreed to paint Saint James Church to celebrate their 300th anniversary! The print is offered primarily as a benefit for Saint James Church.

Saint James Church is special to Jim! He attended there as a youth, his parents -Lewis and Mae Booth- worshiped there, and he and his departed wife Virginia were married there. Senior Pastor Arthur Jenkins, reflecting on Jim’s gift stated: “All who cherish Christ and are devoted to faith, for whom our South Carolina coast region is special, will treasure Jim Booth’s expression of God’s glory manifest in a place of worship nestled in our Lord’s creation.”

This is a special benefit print just for Saint James Church to use for fundraising.

"The Bridges" captures all the foggy Fall morning feels! Charleston’s famous old Cooper River Bridges looked even spookier in the early morning fog. Anyone who crossed these bridges remembers their character: narrow, steep, and rusty!! These bridges were torn down – replaced by the new Arthur Ravenel Bridge in 2005. Shop our vendor booth inside Patina Market, or for shipping, shop JimBooth.com at the link below:

Jim beautifully captured the sunset from Morris Island & it’s landmark Lighthouse located in Charleston, SC. The view is looking towards Folly Beach, SC (across the inlet). Efforts are underway to protect the historic lighthouse structure through Save the Light, Inc. The Morris Island Lighthouse was one of Jim’s favorite subjects to paint, as he spent many days admiring the lighthouse!

All of Jim’s published paintings of the Morris Island Lighthouse can be seen under the Morris Island Lighthouse Tag at JimBooth.com. There were many unpublished paintings where Jim featured the Morris Island Lighthouse as well!

Hugo - 37 years!! If you lived through Hurricane Hugo memories will always be vivid of the storm. Jim had released his “Storm Warnings”, depicting Hurricane David, the year prior. After Hugo, everyone thought “Storm Warnings” was supposed to be Hugo - that gave Jim the inspiration to paint “The Storm” with the hurricane coming onshore along the battery at night. Jim painted the date of Hugo on the original so it would be reproduced on each print/poster. The Limited Edition Prints sold out in just 3 days! “The Storm” is by far Jim’s most famous and recognizable painting.

Classic Edition Posters are still available in two sizes. Shop in person from our vendor booth inside Patina Market or for shipping shop: https://jimbooth.com/product/the-storm/
