"The moment of change is the only poem." ~ Adrienne Rich


The time has come to transition to the next phase of John Carroll Doyle's final wishes. The Gallery will be permanently closing March 31st. If you were lucky enough to have known John personally, you will know that he was generous to a fault. Prior to his death, John made careful plans to insure the gallery would remain open for as long as possible, with the final disposition of his estate ultimately going to endow a fund for the purpose of promoting classical painting in the manner of 19th century American and Western European artists, and to support the Center for Birds of Prey in Awendaw, South Carolina.

It has been almost 9 years since he left us, and it has been my honor to continue his legacy, as well as to share the work of our exceptional family of artists that John wanted added to his namesake gallery. I want to thank all of the collectors that have supported the gallery through the years, as well as the thriving art community of Charleston that John helped to build. A very special thank you to Jennie Fili for her hard work as my Co-Director since 2018, and to Adam Barr for his constant support.

Most especially I want to thank John for changing the path of my life with the opportunity to have the dream job of a lifetime.
