Been playing with different framing choices. We’ve spent so long framing things classically. What is your opinion on big mats on little pieces. I know decorators use this technique to fill a wall. We have always famed to fit the art. My question.. larger frame and mat.. plus real art (not reproduction) more cost. Yet more wall realestate. Or is this a fad. Buying off the shelf frames , not fitting the art but making do?
I guess I should at least ask the customer what they are looking for. I am always trying to make everything cost effective.. at least giving a fine printbanframe to show it off to it’s best advantage, not make it look cheap.
