Emma Barnes

Emma Barnes is a multi-disciplinary artist from South Carolina. Emma recently received her MFA in Painting and Photography from Alfred University.

In 2014, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Painting & Printmaking.

Just completed this recent commission, which was out of my comfort zone since I usually don’t paint portraits! I’m happy with the final product and since I grew up in rural Islandton,SC the image felt sentimental to me - like one from my own childhood or family.
