Well, Jesse and I finally made it to Moab. Left on Tuesday and got here today--Saturday. Blown out tire on the truck which took a day to get the replacement.
It's hot and dry here. How hot, you say? 98 degrees when we got here around 3pm.
We took a short ride around 5pm (it was a little cooler) -- man, am I out of shape.
Here is the problem. No one is here riding, bikes or side by sides--too hot. The trails are not ridden in and a lot of them are covered in a layer of dust which makes for slick conditions or deep sand.
All this changes in the fall as they get ridden in and the dust and sand get blown off.
Our plan is to now do some easier riding and get back in the flow of things. I'm the hold-up here, Jesse is ready to go as she rides everyday teaching students.
We'll be posting pictures and videos of our adventure shortly (it was an adventure just getting here).
