Available in the Chappell Hill Historical Society Museum Gift Shop

Made by Todd Burch -->Got the last 11 of the bluebird houses put together and then delivered a total of 22 to the Chappell Hill Historical Society Museum gift shop. Head up to the museum and grab a couple before they are sold out. They’re too big to be a stocking stuffer but might be a good option for a last-minute present for a nature lover! They are built to last many years! All proceeds go to the historical society. They are made from the same logs that were used in the reconstruction of the blacksmith shop.

This month, we are talking about commitment, which is making a plan and putting it into practice.

WHY COMMITMENT?
Well, this one should be obvious! Kids who can persevere and commit to a task are much more likely to graduate from school, hold quality jobs, and stay out of trouble. Spending some time working on setting goals, making plans, and seeing those through are skills that kids can start now and build on for years to come.

Also, this would be a great time to acknowledge all of the commitment shown this year, particularly in schools by teachers and students alike. Look for ways to honor the commitment that people around you have made throughout the school year, and let them know you appreciate their hard work!

WAYS TO LOOK FOR THIS VALUE/SKILL:
· Employees who stick with tasks even when they are difficult
· People who make plans then follow them through
· Team members who do what they say they will do
