5/8/2026 A living legend was honored as RAGMS/Crater Rock Museum dedicated and renamed the Petrified Wood Room as the J Doug Foster Petrified Wood Hall. It was a beautiful ceremony led by Jillian Kettley, museum curator. After the ceremony we toured the new and spectacular specimens on display and Doug shared some of his vast knowledge. It was education spiced with humor. The red arrows on the pet wood photo point towards petrified termite p**p. The Earth is amazing. Many of the new specimens are Roxy Ann Petrified Wood. I encourage everyone to come in to explore the wonders of this new display.
