Every year since 2007, the Brown Farm Pioneer Days have occurred. Starting out as a one day event, it has slowly evolved into a weekend long event that showcases a different brand of farm machinery every year along with many events that help to give show attendants a feel for how Iowa farm life has evolved and the amount of labor involved in farming and rural life.
The Brown Farm Pioneer Days are held in July. Dates for the 2017 Pioneer Days are Saturday and Sunday July 29-30 from 10AM until 5PM both days.
There is some primitive camping available and horses, tractors, combines, and equipment are welcome to attend and help demonstrate!
In 2017, the featured brand of farm equipment will be Massey Ferguson.
Mission: Help keep the past of agriculture and rural life alive.
Brown Farm hosts an annual Pioneer Days in July, featuring tractors, horses, steam powered sawmill and threshing, corn shelling, horse and tractor plowing, vintage combine and harvesting demonstrations, blacksmith shop along with the Buffalo Fork Settlers camp.
Each year a different brand of equipment is featured during Pioneer Days. In 2019 we will be featuring John Deere … with a special display of ‘100 Years of John Deere Tractors & Equipment’. Vintage equipment of all brands will also be on display.
This is a 'family-friendly' event with fun things for people of all ages!! Admission is FREE, and parking is also free. Food & beverage concessions are available on the grounds.
