Soo Locks Engineers Day returns June 26, 2026, offering a unique opportunity to explore Soo Locks Canal Park, get up-close views of massive freighters, and learn how one of the Great Lakes' most important engineering marvels operates.

Please note: Due to ongoing construction and security requirements, visitors will not be able to walk across the lock walls in 2026. However, Engineers Day will still feature special exhibits, family-friendly activities, vendor displays, open houses, and behind-the-scenes learning opportunities throughout Sault Ste. Marie.

If you've ever watched a freighter pass through the Soo and wondered how it all works, this is still one of the best days of the year to visit. 🚢
