Night on the Town is TOMORROW! 🤠

School is back in session, so come celebrate the start of a new school year with a fun evening out for the whole family at Pioneer Town.

Join us Saturday, August 29th from 4–8 PM for a free evening of Old West fun, including cowboy poetry, western music, wagon rides, line dancing, a silent auction, children’s activities, face painting, blacksmithing demonstrations, and more.

We’ll also have food available throughout the evening. Check out the menu below for hot dogs, chili, cookies, drinks, and our $5 meal deal.

And if you have a cowboy hat, boots, or other western wear hiding in the closet, this is the perfect excuse to break them out!

Free admission • 4–8 PM • Pioneer Town, Cedaredge

🧵 History is stitched into every quilt!

Join us tomorrow, Thursday, August 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the Stolte Shed at Pioneer Town for our next Third Thursday History Talk, featuring Dee Blackburn of the S&B Quilters Guild.

Dee will share the stories, traditions, and history behind quilting, including how quilts have preserved memories, marked milestones, and passed stories from one generation to the next.

And there’s an extra-special piece of history to see! ❤️ The S&B Quilters Guild created the beautiful quilt pictured here especially for the Surface Creek Valley Historical Society in celebration of Colorado’s 150th anniversary. Each block tells a little piece of our local and Colorado story, making the quilt a history lesson all its own.

Come hear the stories behind the stitches and enjoy an evening celebrating quilting, community, and the history we share.

Pioneer Town is looking for information about a quilt that was made in 1976 for the bicentennial. It is mentioned in Ronn Brewer's book. It was raffled off, and Carol Roberts won it. We would like to try to track down Carol Roberts and/or the quilt. Any information is appreciated!
