Ushers Ferry Historic Village Located on a beautiful 10 acre site in Seminole Valley, Ushers Ferry now features a dozen historic buildings that have been restored since the 2008 flood.

Ushers Ferry Historic Village provides the citizens of Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa with a venue for family friendly events and programs that build community from the historical perspective of a small Iowa town at the turn of the 20th Century. The buildings are open to tour Monday-Friday, 9:00 - a.m. - 3:00 p.m. June-August. The village holds office hours 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Frid

ay throughout the year. Visitors are welcome to walk the grounds during the off-season.

City Manager Pomeranz presented the Fiscal Year 2027 budget (for fiscal year ending June 30, 2027) to the Mayor and City Council in February.
The budget serves as the City’s financial and spending plan for the year. The proposed budget will authorize resources and establish a direction for our programs and services for the coming year.
The City provides the following services: public safety, public works, solid waste collection, animal control, parking, ground transportation, community development and municipal water and sewer. The City also provides cultural and recreational opportunities through various departments and commissions.
