Today is the day! Join us for the last Elemental Drumming of the season with our friend, Barbara Ashton from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Instruments provided - no prior music experience is necessary. All participants 18+ are welcome. No pre-registration required!

About & what to expect: In this fun and dynamic group, use various drums and percussion instruments from around the world to create powerful and empowering group music experiences. Drumming can help group members build connections, engage in self-reflection, develop individual and collective strengths, improve coping strategies, deepen communication skills, and process emotions.

Create and decorate your own parts for a Mr. Potato Head out of clay. Participants 8 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult or the duration of the workshop with active participation in guiding the child.

Playful Painting on Saturdays in November from 1:30-3:00 p.m. (No class November 28): Learn the fundamentals of color theory and practice technique in watercolor and tempera. A great building block to learn how to compose images, a skill that can be translated to other art making mediums. Each student will be able to take home their masterpieces at the end of the series.

Messy Mornings is back today (10/14) with all the fun! You know the drill, pre-registration is not required, runs from 10-11 a.m., just stop at the front desk, pay $7/child, and let the creativity begin!

Explore a wide variety of materials thorough creative and delightfully messy projects. A parent or caregiver must accompany the participating child. Younger siblings are welcome. Designed for ages 3-6.

We encounter personal stories almost every day of our lives. Whether through work, school, or social situations, stories permeate the air. The workshop “What’s Your Story” is designed as a series of interactive workshops to help you understand how to structure and effectively tell a compelling story. Since narratives in everyday life arise in an oral medium, you will recall/construct your story orally through various storytelling games and impromptu activities. You will have time to explore styles that might be different from your own, as well as listen to and appreciate what others are developing. We will explore how to find juicy stories from our life experiences; what elements make an effective and relatable story, such as characters and tools of speech; how to paint spoken word pictures with our voices, gestures, faces, and movements; and tips for rehearsing, preparing, and delivering an effective story.
