We are so excited to invite you to visit the Rippleton Schoolhouse every Friday and Saturday this summer--beginning Friday July 10th--from 10AM until 4PM. Come meet Miss Buckland and learn about the history of Rippleton, take a step back in time and see what it was like to be a student in the 19th century, give your best go at some of our history toys and games, or check out special activities Miss Buckland will be arranging on specific days this summer. Keep an eye on our social media for updates about open houses at Rippleton Schoolhouse and planned activities. We're happy to share ... so here's to a double milestone celebration in July: 🎉 America turns 250!🎉 The Lorenzo Driving Competition turns 50!
Thank you to the Village of Cazenovia and Mayor Kurt Wheeler for proclaiming July 17-19 Lorenzo Driving Competition Weekend in honor of our landmark anniversary.
Join us as the grounds of the Lorenzo State Historic Site once again come alive with elegant carriages, top-tier horsemanship. and family-friendly activities from mini donkeys and Market Lane shops to a Kids Korral and authentic Western chuck wagon. Parking and all events are free!

Friends of Lorenzo Quilt Raffle Fundraiser

A handmade quilt has been donated to the Friends by an accomplished Cazenovian fiber artist. The pattern is Alaska designed by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at all events, via QR codes, and online at:

1 ticket = $5
3 tickets = $10

🪷Have you bought your tickets yet for this year's Friends of Lorenzo Garden Gala? No? No worries, there is still time. The weather is also looking PERFECT for the Gala!🪷

You are cordially invited to the 2026 Friends of Lorenzo Annual Garden Gala at Lorenzo State Historic Site. The Garden Gala will be catered by the Lincklaen House, music will be provided by the Cazenovia High School String Quartet. The Gala will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the gala will be held inside Lorenzo mansion. Cocktail attire for this event.
