We’ll be in Blue Hill at the Blue Hill Public Library!

Kids and their families are invited to Hands-On History, a collaboration with the Wilson Museum , at the Blue Hill Library on Saturday, June 6 at 10:30 am.

Hands-On History will be led by staff from the Wilson Museum and participants will have a chance to try their hand at the drawshave, make a craft to take home, and learn more about what Hands-On History Days have to offer!

We have a special request from our community - we would love to include a woodworker, blacksmith, and stoneworker in this year's market. The Wilson Museum in Castine has officially kicked off its 2026 summer season. To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, the museum is featuring a new exhibit of an American ship during the Revolutionary War.

Did you know that we open for the season next week? Wednesday, May 27 is our first day, and our museum campus is buzzing with activity!
1 - rehearsal for the Adams School play, with performances coming up on May 30 and 31
2 - cleaning everything, including the glass on all the exhibits
3 - prop making for the Adams School play
4 - stocking up on key supplies
5 - media interviews about our new Semiquincentennial exhibit (more soon on this!)
6 - flowers ready to go in their pots
7 - the beautiful results of a ton of work by Jess and Aaron to re-open the view from the museum and the Home & Away sculpture
