Cashmere Museum A family-friendly destination highlighting pioneer and Native American history, gem and mineral collections, railway exhibits, and more!

Our museum features a beautiful outdoor village of furnished authentic local log cabins, a waterwheel, a series of Great Northern Railway buildings (including a red caboose!), two levels of Native American artifacts and natural history exhibits and a gift shop with something for everyone. We offer a hand-held audio-tour to enhance the educational experience, or with advance notice, guided tours fo

r groups of 15 or more, with special rates. With admission, kids can wear prairie aprons and bonnets or vests and bandanas to get into character while exploring the village- which offers parents some GREAT photo opportunities! They can also take part in a free scavenger hunt with prizes to choose from at the end. Our volunteers are happy to give advice on what else to do while you are in town, and give insider tips on the best places to eat. 🍎🍐🥧🍁 Bring your A-game to our annual pie contest!

The Apple/Pear Pie Contest will occur on Friday, October 2nd, 2026! Please bring your Apple or Pear pie to the Cashmere Museum Lobby between 10am and 4pm on the 2nd to submit it for judging.

We have Adult and Youth categories, Youth being anyone 17 or younger, and Adult being anyone 18 or older. One winner from each category will be selected to win a cash prize! Our runner-ups in each category will win a basket filled with goodies.

Winners will be announced in the afternoon at our Pioneer Village Festival - Saturday, October 3rd, 2026.

Pies will be judged on appearance, crust, filling, and overall flavor, so be sure to show off your best baking skills.

We cannot wait to taste your delicious creations! 🥧

🍁🥧🌻Our countdown continues!

Just 5 short weeks before our end-of-season Pioneer Village Festival! Saturday, October 3rd from 10am-5pm.

We will now be accepting admission by donation, so please come ready to support!

We are also providing a cider garden, or “Watering Hole” behind the Saloon this year!

Our Pie Contest - sponsored by Apple Annie Antique Gallery will occur on Friday, October 2nd. The winners and runners up will be announced during the festival on Saturday, October 3rd.

We will be selling raffle tickets all day during the festival for the Quilt Raffle, the winner will be announced at the end of the day.

We will have live musical performances as well, from such talents as SanZár Dance Company , chumlilies , Olivia Smoke , and more!

As always, we will have sarsaparilla in the Saloon, live demonstrations throughout the day, and all cabins open to walk through. We have many wonderful vendors to share with you, and plenty of food options as well.

This is a themed festival, so please come dressed in your best Pioneer Era clothing!🪡🧵

Just 6 short weeks before our end-of-season Pioneer Village Festival! Saturday, October 3rd from 10am-5pm. We have a few exciting changes to announce this year.

We will now be accepting admission by donation, so please come ready to support!

What an incredible journey through history at WRI & Cashmere Museum Explorers Camp!

Our rising 1st–3rd graders had a blast traveling back in time during this special collaborative camp with the Cashmere Museum and Pioneer Village. Campers discovered how both the p’squosa (Wenatchi) people and early pioneers lived, explored historic buildings, played dress-up, and let their imaginations run wild on the museum grounds. The museum’s geology section sparked so much wonder that campers spent the week building paper-mâché volcanoes and capping off the fun with a big eruption on Friday! Between museum adventures, we cooled off at the nearby Wenatchee River and visited the newly opened Cashmere Public Library. It was a week packed with history, hands-on creativity, and outdoor discovery!

🏠🧹🫧 Cabin Clean Up is approaching! Saturday, September 26th from 9am-12pm.

We are in search of willing volunteers to come help spiff up the Pioneer Village for the festival and the end of our season!

Please come dressed to clean, and bring along any cleaning materials that could help. We always need more shop vacs!
