Don’t forget the Bake Sale for Evergreen Cemetery Thursday, May 7, at 9 am in Carrollton and North Carrollton. Fresh homemade sourdough bread $8 a loaf or 2 for $10. Chocolate chip muffins 4/$8. Dinner rolls 9/$9 (frozen and par-baked, ready to bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes). These will be in Carrollton along with cakes, sausage balls and other goodies, just in time for Mother’s Day weekend!

The Celtic Gathering at Cotesworth officially opened a few minutes ago with the National Anthem sung by Andi Holiday Milton, the raising of the flag by Boy Scout troop 4039. Come on out and enjoy the live music, shop with the vendors, eat lunch, play cow paddy bingo, and tour Cotesworth, a historic stagecoach inn that was later the home of US Senator JZ George and the location for several movies, including the award winning The Help!
